Properties |
The cream is used to treat muscle and joints pain, it contains menthol which relieves itching and causes the blood vessels on the surface of the skin to widen, this causes a sensation of coldness the skin to widen, this causes a sensation of coldness followed by a reduction in pain. Camphor, Methyl Salicylate and Oleoresin Capsicum are counter irritants, which when applied cause redness and heat to be produced, this distract the brain from the original pain and therefore reduces the perception of pain. |
Therapeutic indications |
- Fibrositis like tendinitis and ligaments inflammation. - Neck, mid and lower back pain. - Pain in the lower back and hip which travel down to the leg (sciatica). - Pains such as muscle stiffness, bruising, sprains. - Joint and bone pain (osteoarthritis and RA). |
Contraindication |
Hypersensitivity to any component of this product. |
Warnings and precautions |
- Avoid contact of this medication with the eyes and moist membranes, rinse with cold water if accidental contact occurs. - Avoid use on the face in children. - If itching or irritation occurs discontinue use. - Avoid use on broken or inflamed skin |
Pregnancy and lactation |
This medication is used as doctor prescribe and only if the expected benefit to the mother is greater than any possible risk to the fetus. There is no information available regarding the safety of this medication during lactation, seek medical advice from your doctor. |
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION |
Apply sufficient quantity of cream in the affected area and rubbed lightly from 1-3 times daily or as doctor prescribe. |
