Composition
Each tablet contains: Carisoprodol 350 mg.
Pharmaceutical Category
Central muscle relaxant.
Side effect
Some side effects may appear: drowsiness, dizziness, vertigo, headache, insomnia, anxiety, trembling nausea, vomiting.
Properties
Carisoprodol produces muscle relaxation it behaves in an unknown way and its activity goes to its potential sedative effects.
The onset of action is rapid and effects last four to six hours.
Therapeutic indications
Carisoprodol is indicated as an adjunct in short-term therapy for muscle tension.
Contraindication
Acute intermittent prophyria as well as allergic or idiosyncratic reactions to carisoprodol or related compounds such as meprobamate, mebutamate or tybamate.
Warnings and precautions
– The use of this drug in pregnancy and in nursing mothers should be with caution. Carisoprodol is present in breast milk of lactating mothers at concentrations 2–4 times that of maternal plasma.
– It is not recommended for use in patients under 12 years of age.
– During the use of this drug caution should be exercised with patients driving a motor vehicle or drinking alcohol.
– Carisoprodol is metabolized in the liver and excreted by the kidney to avoid its excess  accumulation, caution should be exercised in administration to patients with compromised liver or kidney function.
– Long term treatment is unadvisable.
Drug interactions
Other CNS inhibitions and alcohol participation enhances the CNS inhibition.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Adult people – Normal dose: 350 mg 3 times daily.
for old people – 175 mg 3 times daily.

Each box contains 20 tablets.
